Yes — that’s exactly what this fixture is designed for. Only the canopy connects to the junction box. Each shade hangs on its own cable that runs out to a swag hook screwed into the ceiling wherever you want that light to fall, so you can cover your table evenly no matter where the box sits. It’s the main reason people choose this over three separate pendants, which would each need their own junction box.

Each of the three lights hangs from its own cable running out of the central canopy. You decide where each shade drops by screwing a swag hook into the ceiling at that point, and you set each shade’s height by how much cable you feed through. Both the spacing and the heights are decided during installation, so plan your layout and mark the hook positions before you mount the fixture.

Maximum spread is 157 inches (about 13 feet) and maximum drop is 82 inches from the ceiling to the bottom of the shade. Most people spread the three shades across 4 to 6 feet for a standard dining table, and a little tighter over an island. Measure your table and decide the spacing before install.

Around 28 to 34 inches from the tabletop to the bottom of the shade is standard for dining. Lower gives a more intimate, focused feel; higher spreads the light more broadly. Because each cable is set independently, you can also stagger the heights if you prefer a layered look.

White linen with woven jute. The linen gives the fixture its clean, light look from across the room, and the jute adds warmth and texture up close while softening the light. Both are natural materials, so small variations in tone and weave are normal. If you want the all-jute version without the white linen, that’s the DUO Jute pendant.

Three E26 bulbs, not included. Max 15W LED per shade — but that’s the LED wattage, not the light output. A 15W LED is equivalent to roughly a 100W incandescent bulb, so with three shades you’re getting about 300W worth of light over your table. For a warm, relaxed feel go 2700K. For something brighter and more kitchen-functional, 3000K works well.

Yes, with an external dimmer switch or dimmable smart bulbs. There’s no integrated dimmer in the fixture, so you can use whatever system you already have. If you’re on a wall dimmer, make sure it’s rated for LED loads.

The canopy connects to a standard ceiling junction box, so if you’re replacing an existing fixture many people handle it themselves. The swag hooks screw into the ceiling and need to hit a joist or use an appropriate anchor. If you’re installing from scratch or moving the box location, use a licensed electrician.

Natural jute mellows slightly with light exposure over time, which most people find adds to the character rather than detracting from it. Keep it out of direct sunlight if you want to preserve the original tone longer. The texture and weave stay intact.
