Maximum drop is 61 inches — just over 5 feet — from the ceiling to the bottom of the lowest globe. That suits a standard two-storey entryway, a stairwell landing, or a room with 10 to 12 foot ceilings. If you have a true double-height foyer and want the cascade to reach down past the second-floor railing, measure first: 5 feet of drop may sit higher than you're picturing.

Set them during installation. For a stairwell, stagger the cords so the globes follow the line of the stairs — longest over the lower steps, shortest near the top. For an entry table or a dining space, keep the lengths closer together so it reads as one cluster. Plan the arrangement before you mount it and mark which cord goes where; it's much easier on the ground than on a ladder.

The ceiling canopy is 14.17 inches (36 cm) across. Maximum drop is 61.02 inches (155 cm) from the ceiling to the lowest globe. The complete fixture weighs 6.3 kg.

Ten E12 candelabra bulbs, not included. We'd recommend LED — with ten sockets running, LED keeps the total load low and the glass cool to the touch. For a warm entryway glow go 2700K; 3000K if you want it a little crisper. Clear or frosted both work, since the opal glass is doing the diffusing.

Yes, with an external dimmer switch or dimmable smart bulbs. There's no integrated dimmer in the fixture. Worth doing on this one — ten globes at full brightness is a lot of light for an entryway at night. Make sure a wall dimmer is rated for LED loads.

The wiring is straightforward — one junction box, one canopy. The fiddly part is the mounting pan, which uses set screws on the side rather than knobs, so getting everything lined up takes patience. A customer flagged exactly this and we'd rather you hear it from us: budget more time than you think for that step, and have a second pair of hands. Everything after it is easy.

We'd recommend one for this fixture. At 6.3 kg with ten cords to arrange, it's usually going up over a stairwell or a high entryway, which means working at height on a ladder or scaffold. Confirm the ceiling box is rated to carry the weight. If you're replacing an existing fixture at a comfortable height and you're confident, it's within reach of a competent DIYer.

Turn it off and let the bulbs cool first. A dry microfibre cloth handles dust; for marks, a barely damp cloth and a dry buff. Don't spray cleaner directly at the fixture — spray the cloth. The gold sleeves are a brushed finish, so avoid anything abrasive.
