A soft, sculptural wall light built around a glowing centre and the ring that spreads from it.
The ONDA collection brings both character and function to your space. A smooth opal glass shade sits at the centre of a wide, wave-formed steel disc finished in soft cashmere beige, casting a warm, even light while standing out as a design feature on its own.
Onda is Italian for wave, and the fixture is the moment a drop hits still water. The opal shade in the middle is the drop. The disc around it is the ring spreading outward, caught at the point where the edge is still moving.
The opal glass is what keeps it comfortable at eye level. On a wall you are often looking straight at the fixture rather than up at it, and clear glass in that position means glare. Opal diffuses the bulb completely, so the centre glows evenly and there is no bright point to catch your eye from across the room.
The disc is what makes ONDA different from a standard sconce. Most sconces stop at the shade. Here the warm light from the opal centre falls across the matte steel around it and lifts the whole disc, so you get a lit surface almost 16 inches wide rather than a small point of light on a large wall. It lights the wall it is mounted on as much as the space in front of it, which is what makes a hallway or a bedroom wall feel finished rather than simply lit.
At 15.75 inches across and projecting 6.30 inches from the wall, it reads as a real feature without crowding a corridor or a nightstand. That scale wants a wall it can be seen on: beside a bed, up a stairwell, in a run down a hallway, or as a pair flanking a mirror. Cashmere beige is a warm neutral, so it settles against white, off-white and plaster walls instead of fighting them, and sits easily alongside wood and stone.
Why people choose this fixture:
- Opal glass shade diffuses the bulb completely, so there is no glare at eye level
- The 15.75 in wave-formed steel disc carries the light outward instead of stopping at the shade
- Warm cashmere beige, a neutral that pairs with white walls, wood and stone
- Dimmable with an external dimmer switch or a smart bulb
- Projects only 6.30 in from the wall, tight enough for a hallway
- cUL listed, stocked in Canada, 2-year warranty

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of light does it give?
Soft and wide rather than directed. The opal shade diffuses the bulb completely so the centre glows evenly, and the matte steel disc around it picks that light up and carries it outward, across almost 16 inches instead of leaving it at the shade. The result is a low-contrast wash that lights the wall as much as the room. It is an ambient light, not a task light.
What bulb does it take, and is it included?
One E12 candelabra bulb, not included. Go with 2700K for warm light or 3000K for a slightly cooler, brighter look. The bulb sits inside the opal shade so you never see it, which means the shape of the bulb does not matter here, only its colour temperature and output. Buy a dimmable one if you plan to put it on a dimmer.
Will it glare at eye level?
No. The bulb is fully enclosed in opal glass, so there is no bright point to catch your eye. That is the reason opal is used on wall fixtures: on a wall you are usually looking straight at the light rather than up at it, and clear glass in that position is uncomfortable. The whole shade glows at an even brightness instead.
What are the exact dimensions?
15.75 inches (400 mm) across, projecting 6.30 inches (160 mm) from the wall. That is a large sconce, closer to a wall-mounted disc than a small accent light, so give it a wall it can be seen on. The projection is the same as the smaller SLATE sconce, so it still works in a corridor.
How high should I mount it?
In a hallway, living room or stairwell, 60 to 66 inches from the floor to the centre of the fixture puts it at roughly eye level, which is standard. Beside a bed, 30 to 36 inches above the mattress so the light falls on the page rather than in your eyes. If you are mounting several down a hallway, space them 6 to 8 feet apart and keep them at a consistent height.
What is it made from, and what colour is it?
The wave-formed disc is painted steel in a matte cashmere beige. The shade at the centre is smooth opal glass. Cashmere beige is a warm neutral that reads soft against white, off-white and plaster walls, which is usually what you want when several are mounted in a run down a hallway. Made in Poland by TK Lighting.
Is it bright enough to read by?
Beside a bed it works for comfortable reading rather than fine print. The opal glass spreads the light rather than focusing it, so you get a soft pool across the whole area instead of a directed beam on the page. If one person wants to read while the other sleeps, a directional lamp is the better tool. ONDA is for soft, even light you can sit under for hours.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, with an external dimmer switch or a dimmable smart bulb. There is no integrated dimmer in the fixture, so you can use whatever system you already have. Worth doing beside a bed. If you are on a wall dimmer, make sure it is rated for LED loads.
How is it different from the SLATE sconce?
Both use an opal glass shade, so both give the same soft, glare-free light. The difference is the disc and the scale. SLATE is an 11-inch dome on its own. ONDA sets a smaller opal shade in the middle of a 15.75-inch steel disc that carries the light outward, so it covers far more wall. SLATE is the quieter one for a tight hallway or a nightstand, and comes in four colours. ONDA is the statement piece for a wall that can hold it.
Can it go in a bathroom?
No, it's rated for dry locations only. That rules out bathrooms with a shower or tub, and anywhere else exposed to damp. A powder room with no shower is usually fine, but check your local code.
Is it approved for Canadian electrical code?
Yes. cUL listed for both Canada and the US, so it passes inspection and won't cause issues with insurance or a home sale. Made in Poland by TK Lighting.
Do I need an electrician?
It's a hardwired fixture that requires installation. If you're replacing an existing sconce on the same box, many people handle it themselves. If you're adding a new wall box, running new wiring, or converting a plug-in position, use a licensed electrician.
How do I clean it?
Turn it off and let the bulb cool first. A dry microfibre cloth handles dust on both the glass and the painted steel. For marks, a barely damp cloth and a dry buff. Don't spray cleaner directly at the fixture, spray the cloth, and keep abrasives away from the paint.
How fast does it ship?

What is the warranty?

What if it doesn't work in the space?
